This movie will be BOMB!!

So who is pumped for the Hunger Games movie, ME!

I am seeing it at midnight with one Maddie Tonjes. We is going to be so cool, and I cant wait. I'm super excited to see how it compares to the books because it;s one of those books that you cant really alter. I am so ready to spoil all this for you. So Katniss and Peeta are entering the arena and as they start each of them run in completely different ways essentially splitting them up. Katniss has gone far into the woods where she soon finds there is no water. She is forced to sleep up in the trees so as not to be seen. Climbing tree's for her is like second nature, so shes all good. She soon teams up with a girl from district 11 named Rue. This is only after she finds out that Peeta has joined up with the careers who are the elite tributes. She is doing well with Rue for a while until Rue is killed brutally. Katniss is crushed because Rue reminded Katniss of her Sister Prim. Peeta and Katniss cross paths when Katniss is about to get killed by a tribute but Peeta saves her. This is when she realizes that he has been on her team all along. She over hears other tributes saying that Peeta was stabbed and is probably dead. She goes searching for him the next day and when she finds him he has badly injured his leg. She desperatly need medicine for him. She takes him to a cave where they decide to make their camp. They are rewarded with medicine for Peeta by the council. As Katniss treats Peeta's leg they share a moment and kiss. This becomes a reagular thing for them when they realize that people are taking more pity on them if they think their star crossed lovers. Katniss and Peeta fight their way through and soon become the only two left standing besides one other tribute. The tribute is soon killed by a pack of wolves that are a sort of form of past tributes. Katniss and Peeta are forced to kill each other in order t finsih the games but they decide that if they both try and kill each other at the same time, the council will have no choice but to save them both. They were right. They both make it safely on the ship to go home, except Peeta had to get his leg amputated bacause it was still so dameges, He now has a prosthetic. On the way home Katniss and Peeta are talking when Katniss admits that the whole in love thing was an act. peeta is crushed and storms away. Katniss knows the games are not over. It has only just begun.

SO I DO HAVE SKILLS!

Back to the Hunger Games. Katniss and Peeta have just walked through the parade and are now preparing for interviews. Katniss goes and is very cute and friendly, which isn't normal for her because she really doesn't like people. Then Peeta goes and starts out fine, until he declares his love for Katniss, ON LIVE TELEVISION!! This puts Katniss in a awkward place because she knows she will have to kill him. It's the night before the games and Katniss is super nervous. Each tribute must show the council their skills so that they can rate them. While they prepare in the gym like thing they must not give away all their secrets. Peeta hides the fact that hes pretty good with traps and knives. He only shows Katniss. Katniss hides the fact that she can shoot a bow and arrow like no other. They both split up and jsut kind of fuddle around with stuff. Soon it is time to show the judges. They each go in one at a time by district. In other words Katniss and Peeta are last. Peeta and Katniss are chatting when Haymitch comes up and basically tells them their worthless and they just need to fight. Katniss and Peeta both get angry and Peeta gets punched by Haypitch while Katniss tries to stab Haymitch's hand. She fails but instead sends the knife at the wall this impresses Haymitch and he thinks that maybe their is hope after all. Peeta is called in to perform for the judges his skills. He comes out soon after and just leaves for his bedroom. It is now Katniss's turn. She walks in, hoping to show the judges her arrow shooting abilities, but they are all talking and eating and NOT PAYING ATTENTION! Katniss starts shooting and they still are not watching so she decides to shoot and arrow at the table. It hits the roast pigs mouth. All the jusges are shocked into silence. Some are even falling off their chairs. Katniss knows that she was stupid so she dismisses herself and heads to her room. When it is time to gather for scores, Katniss expects the worst. She also is worried about her safety. No one ever mistreats the judges, and she was sure that they would give her a 0. She leans over to Cinna and asks if anyone has gotten a 0 and he replies with a stiff no. The scores range from 0 to 11. 11 being the highest. The list the numbers of all the earlier tributes. Some get 8's, some get 9's, one boy gets a 10, and a couple get 6's and 7's. Peeta comes out with an 8, which is quite impressive. This is why Katniss is completely shocked when she is awarded with an 11. Everyone is in awe. Maybe Katniss can win the games after all.

OFF TRACK....and watering some Elephants!

So I don't know if anyone has read this book, but its fantastic. I first heard about it when I went to see the movie this past summer. I thought the visuals were stunning and i loved the story so right after I got out of the theater I drove to Borders and bought it. I started it that night and was transfixed. The story starts out talking about a man named Jacob and he has just lost his parents in an accident. He is so traumatized by losing his parents that he drops out of school and runs from home. While walking down the rode he hears the sound of a train, so he runs and hops on the back. He is introduced to the life of a circus. The Benzini Brother's Most Spectacular Show On Earth. After being almost kicked off of the train, by none other than Big Al, the owner of the circus, he is given a job to clean up after the animals. While setting up for a show Jacob see's a woman by the name of Marlena working with the horses. A stunning young brunette, she had Jacob falling for her right away. As the story goes on Jacob and Marlena get to know each other, too bad she's already married to august, the head animal keeper. It's also too bad that August abuses the animals so Marlena is pretty much disgusted by him. Once Rosie, the elephant arrives, all of Jacob's worries go away. This elephant responds by polish or german commands, one of the two, and can do almost anything. marlena soon opens an act with Rosie, and the circus takes off again. Jacob and Marlena soon have feelings for each other and decide to run away together. They do get caught and brought back, however Jacob is kicked out. With his undying love for Marlena he is shocked to learn that Marlena is back with August, not by choice however. Jacob goes to the next show and sets all the animals loose creating total chaos. He then proceeds to try and save Marlena but August stops his by beating him up. Jacob is woozy and cant get up but see's in the distance that August is strangling Marlena. Rosie comes from behind and stabs August with a wooden peg. Jacob and Marlena get married and live very happily. With Rosie might I add. But the best part of this story is that it's all told in the perspective of Jacob as an older man in a nursing home, where the Benzini Bros. circus is set up outside. READ IT!!!!

Anybody up for a makeover?

This post is going to have a lot of spoilers. So Katnisshas been entered in the Hunger Games and is now being brought to the capitol with Peeta to get all prepared and ready.While they are on the train they are introduced to a man by the name Haymitch, he was the last victor from district twelve to win the Hunger Games. He is basically extremely rude and drunk all the time, but overall he just wants Katniss and Peeta to succeed even if he wont admit it. When they arrive at the capitol they are treated first to an amazing dinner with a bunch of glorious food, which for Peeta and Katniss is like a dream come true since their supply of food back home is scarce. They both eat much more than they can handle but its worth it ti them because now their full. They head back to their rooms where they are introduced to their prep teams, Katniss is the main focus of this chapter. Her prep team consists of three very chatty people. They wax her legs and trim her hair and most of all clear her skin of any blemishes. Everyone in the capitol is kind of scary looking. They all have really scary colored hair and skin as well as crazy lips. When Cinna the head stylist walks in everyone leaves. Now Cinna looks fairly normal compared to the rest of the capitol. He has brown short hair, is tall and handsom, and has gorgeous eyes. Only the gold eyeliner on his lids shows any trace that he belongs to the capitol. Cinna is very kind to Katniss and does her make up and hair and gives her the theme of what she and Peeta will be wearing for the opening ceremonies. This is sort of like a parade and each tribute is interviewed. Cinna tells Katniss that since she comes from the coal mining part of the districts, she will be known as the girl on fire and dresses her in a gorgeous body suit with actual flames and later for the interview puts her in a beautiful flaming gown. LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!!

I'm Hungry for HUNGER GAMES!!!!!!

I am going to tell you about the Hunger Games. A lot of what I'm focusing in this blog is the characters. This does have some spoilers. First we are introduced to Katniss. She is a 16 year old girl in the city of Panem. Katniss has brown long hair that is constantly in a braid, and what she is seen doing most often is hunting with her best friend Gale. Gale is a 17 year old boy who is very tall and has dark brown hair, and he's hot!!! He and Katniss love hunting together but also have slight feelings for each other. Prim is Katniss's younger sister. She has blonde hair and is 12 years old. Prim and Katniss have a very close relationship bacause when they were younger their father died and so their mother pretty much shut down and stopped doing anything so Katniss had to become a mother figure. Now Katniss's mom is talking again but her and Katniss's relationship isnt completely fixed. Peeta is the greatest thing ever. Peeta is a fellow student at Katniss's school who is also the son of the baker in town. Peeta has had a big big BIG BIG crush on Katniss for the longest time but has never said anything until both him and Katniss were picked to participate in the annual Hunger Games. These games are a way for the capitol to show everyone how strong they are. They choose one boy, and one girl from the age range of 12 to 17 to participate in the games and compete to the death. Originally Prim's name was chosen, however Katniss would not have it so she instead volunteered to compete. Gale had to take a crying Prim away from the stage so as not to stop Katniss. As Katniss and Peeta stand timidly on the stage they raise their joined hands and prepare to fight not only each other, but several other tributes as well. we'll see who wins!

Harry Potter blog 2

Dear friends,
I have just started harry potter and the chamber of secrets. There is so much I have to share but i promise i will give everything away. Harry Potter is such a sad sad boy. He has only two friends Ron, and Hermione yet he has yet to hear from them all summer. Harry's aunt and uncle are having some very important guests over to have dinner and tell jokes and be mean like usual. Harry has told them that he will be up stairs in his bedroom so as not to disturb them. While he is sitting up in his room he is  disturbed by a strange high pitched voice. This is where we are introduced to young Dobby the house elf. He works for the Malfoy family but we dont know this yet. Let me just tell you, Dobby is like the cutest thing ever I always pictured him talking like a little 10 year old boy and he sounds just like it in the movies, mixed with an old man wearing a cardigan sound. He so adorable. Plus the drawings in the book are so adorable i want to rip out the page and hug it. Anyway, Harry questions who this elf is, when he brings up letters from Ron and Hermione. Harry quickly questions this and learns that Dobby has the letters and then learns that he should not go back to Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. Now let me share with you that Harry should not go back because hes going to get killed, but he goes anyway. Once he arrive in Ron's dad's magic car he is almost caught by severus snape and expelled but then dumbledor steps in and is like no way. so Harry and Ron stay. Harry goes through the beginning of the year rather normally until a quidditch match when he gets his arm broken by a bludger. BY DOBBY!!!!! but not on purpose. Also harry can speak to snakes which is called a parseltounge. This is pretty intense stuff. OH also there is a new defense against the dark arts teacher named gilderoy Lockhart and he is pretty much obsessed with himself and his smile. But hes apparently super attractive since Hermione Granger ( i mean me) thinks hes super hot. Well see where that goes.
Thats all for now i guess, oh by the way, there is a basilisk that is a huge snake and freezes everyone. even hermione but Harry will find that snake. AND KILL IT!!!!!!!
